What are Orthodontics?

Orthodontic treatment is critical to improving the look and feel of your smile. Not only is a crooked, crowded and unevenly spaced smile unattractive, but it can be a health issue as well. It is more difficult to keep your teeth perfectly clean when you’re unable to floss or brush them properly. For this reason, we offer orthodontic treatment to all of our patients. Regardless of age, you can benefit from high-quality orthodontic treatment that is monitored and guided throughout the way.

Why are Orthodontics needed?

It’s very rare to have a smile that is perfectly straight without even minor problems. Most children, teens and adults have minor to severe crowding, crookedness, spacing and unevenness. You might be looking for a way to boost your confidence, or you want to feel better about your teeth and the way that they look. We often recommend orthodontic treatment as a way to keep your teeth healthy and clean more easily.

What makes you a candidate for Orthodontic treatment?

Most patients who need orthodontic treatment can and should consider the benefits of braces. It’s never too late to take control of your smile, and it’s never too early to get your kids in for their first orthodontic consultation. Our goal is to provide you and your family with beautifully bright smiles that are healthy and full. Orthodontic treatment is personalized for each individual patient, since everyone needs different care.

What happens during Orthodontic treatment?

We begin the treatment process with a consultation. This allows us to get to know you and your unique needs. We take x-rays and impressions so that we’re able to create a unique treatment plan just for you. We then fit you with braces or aligners and instruct you on how to wear them. You will need to come in regularly for follow-up appointments so that treatment can continue. Orthodontic treatment can take as little as six months to about two or three years depending on the needs of the patient. We will walk you through your treatment and what to expect before starting.
